The gas is contained in certain quantities in your exhaled air. It is particularly advisable for people who are exposed to an increased risk of exacerbations. These include pregnant women, patients with impaired lung function, certain changes in the laboratory, patients with symptoms despite therapy and patients who have already experienced an exacerbation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"margin-right:0;margin-left:0;font-size:0.9em\">Patients who have to regularly inhale corticosteroids (\u201casthma spray\u201d) also benefit from FeNO measurements. Pregnant women, for example, should reduce the dose &#8211; as far as possible, but no further than necessary. This requires medical sensitivity and precise data.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-container-core-group-is-layout-92b9201d wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How the test works<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"margin-right:0;margin-left:0;font-size:0.9em\">An FeNO measurement only takes a few minutes and doesn&#8217;t hurt: you take a deep breath and blow slowly into a special device. Just a few moments later, we have the measurement results. On this basis, the inflammation in your airways can be precisely assessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\" style=\"margin-right:0;margin-left:0;font-size:0.9em\">We recommend one measurement per year.
